Dorothy`s nephew Rodney reports that he stayed with his aunt when young and she was clearly a great character. “She was extremely able and was the first female cashier at the Midland Bank, serving eventually as the PA to the manager at the Gray`s Inn branch. She lived in Dolphin Square as a spinster with a great circle of entertaining friends including lawyers, barristers and bankers. She was a very generous hostess and it was always a pleasure to visit her. She died in the 1960`s and is buried in East Grinstead “. |
